The last few weeks have been pretty toasty round my way and being National Barbecue week Ive spent a fair amount of time out in the sun cooking these past few days, but all that cooking is thirsty work so I thought I would try out one of the cocktail recipes from Jack Daniels website figuring they are bound to have a manly but refreshing cocktail suggestion!
So I picked Lynchburg Lemonade, why you may ask? well it sounds super freshing and if you look at the directions very easy to make, and after a hard day at work I just want to throw some steaks on the barbecue and drink something cold and refreshing with zero hassle.
Lynchburg Lemonade
Ingredients
- 1 part Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7
- 1 part triple sec
- 1 part sour mix
- 4 parts lemon-lime soda
Instructions
- Combine and stir. Garnish with a lemon slice and cherry. ( told you it was simple!)
and most of all its damn refreshing!
Reading the other recipies on the Jack Daniels page I notice they also list ‘Jack and Coke’ , so I made that next but put my own spin on it by using Diet Cherry Coke, the subtle Cherry flavours work really well with the Jack Daniels I very much recommend you try it out.
